Research

My research uses transdisciplinary methods to examine how environmental exposures shape health among medically vulnerable populations, with a focus on the conditions under which climate-related hazards alter risk and care.

Cards

Extreme Weather Impacts Among People with Cancer

This line of work examines how seasonal climate hazards influence healthcare utilization among populations with a high burden of chronic disease, particularly how exposures disrupt access to treatment and continuity of care.

Compounding Hazards Among Maritime Communities

This research examines how urban fishers perceive and respond to overlapping environmental and health risks, and how their beliefs shape the adoption of protective practices and engagement with preventive healthcare.

Policy at the Climate-Health Nexus

This work evaluates how researchers and practitioners can better anticipate and mitigate the health consequences of environmental harms, with particular attention to translating evidence into health-protective policy and practice.
